There’s plenty of food out in the bayou. Fishing is great. Maybe it is all catfish, and catfish is bony.

The rich, who are nearly always urban, don’t want to be inconvenienced by bones.
The rich don’t want to be inconvenienced by watermelon seeds, so they fund genetics to produce seedless watermelon. Alex has been known to eat watermelon, yet he notices the bright red beauty of pre-rich meddling, in a beautiful of medley, of sweet beyond dreams, eye of the sky, rich red melon against the little baby melons to be, those black seeds you are required to spit on the ground, to get around.
