Alex would be perfectly happy if the Mighty Mississippi flowed through the Garden of Eden— and why not?

What were Adam and Eve doing in the Garden of Eden but dawdling?

Definitely Adam was dawdling before the arrival of Eve. Somehow, though, Adam’s dawdling was imperfect, requiring supplement.

Dawdling is a pretty good way to envision Adam and Eve’s doings prior to The Fall.

Alex regarded his own dawdling as imperfect, but not in the same way as Adam’s prior to Eve … Alex rarely experienced loneliness while dawdling.
