“Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone,” sang Bill Withers.
Did Bill know Sarah?
It must be he did.
How about Huey Long? Did Huey know Sarah?
“Tu es mon soleil “, or in Louisiana Creole, “To vyé mô soléy”
Sarah was Huey’s sunshine, too … This was incredible, but for Chuck and me, there were no problem believing it.
There was one and only one Sarah who could voraciously eat sunshine the way other women, sitting on sofas, watching TV, ate chocolate bon bons. Sarah ate all the live long day. Sarah ate all the sunshine, so, for Huey Long, she was his sunshine.
Then, after eating all the sunshine, Sarah went away. As Bill Withers stated, “Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone.” She ate all the sunshine, then said goodbye. Bill’s sunshine was gone.
