Early man had nothing but a razor.
Later, this razor would be used against himself, for shaving.
But at first, the razor was aimed outward, at the sun, moon, stars, the waters of the sea, and the concomitant of the waters of the sea, the deep blue space.
Call the razor fire, if you will.
Call the razor and the fire the edge, if you will.
Early man had nothing but an edge.
