Well, I’d rather see you dead, little girl
Than to be with another man
You better keep your head, little girl
Or I won’t know where I am
The first two lines describe primate “base-primary-free base” primate aggressive, pound your chest, bare your fangs, possessiveness– and lust.
The second two lines are the ones concerning us here, especially “Or I won’t know where I am”.
won’t KNOW WHERE won’t KNOW WHEREKNOW WHEREKNOW WHERE won’t won’t won’t KNOW WHEREKNOW WHEREKNOW WHEREwon’t KNOW WHERE won’t KNOW WHEREKNOW WHEREKNOW WHERE won’t won’t won’t
“Where” is the most important word in this lyric. In the four lines of the first stanza, “where” is more important than “death”. If we don’t know where we are, there is a chance we are dead and don’t know that, either.
