There are male and female apes.
Well, I’d rather see you dead, little girl
Than to be with another man
You better keep your head, little girl
Or I won’t know where I am
This is a typical male and female ape– or should I say primate— interaction. The Beatles, in 1965, were an embodiment of primate sensibility, western-style, or Welsh fashionability, or Mersey, beat sweet, sweat complete, tingling feet, twinkle in the toes, rambling rose, discipline a wench, and keep your head.
Went to the edge of savanna,
Went out into it,
And from there to everywhere… Including the moon. Sgt. Pepper was released on June 2, 1967, while “man in the moon” of myth and legend became “man on the moon” on July 20, 1969.
