Oscar Wilde was a graduate of Oxford; Magdalen College, to be specific.

Shouldn’t there be a switcheroo? Wouldn’t it be better if Ghislaine attend Magdalen, leaving Oscar attendance at Balliol, in the slot, or slit, Ghislaine’d abandoned?

However that may be, Margaret Thatcher graduated Somerville College, to some degree, a degree in chemistry. So here, “we” are talking, most likely, degrees Kelvin.

(Lord Kelvin (William Thomson) enrolled at the University of Glasgow at the age of 10 in 1834. Later, he attended Peterhouse College at the University of Cambridge.

(Note well: Cambridge and Oxford are not equivalent. Universities aren’t so very universal, you see. Especially such as the elite ones, though we might expect, among themselves, they’d at least attempt, in times of pacem in terris, to keep from quarreling. (Among themselves.))
