To shed some light on the mood, atmosphere, and/or vibe, of Adair’s family kitchen, there are some distinctions I can, at present, make.
The mood is not of estrangement or alienation.
This is very important, because if the mood was of estrangement, we’d have a setting of existentialism. If the mood was of alientation, a setting of Marxism.
We don’t. We straightforwardly, and simply, do not.
