Adair loves her parents.

Can she show them?

She is leaving them, and that’s rejection.

Her parents had raised her, not meaning offense, to offer her up to NYC,

The Statue of Liberty, looming,

Adair will kiss the Statue of Liberty, with tongue,

This doesn’t mean Adair and the Statue of Liberty will rear good children.

If only it was that easy.
