Women’s basketball has come a long, long way since H-E’s time, her window.

Heck, it wasn’t until after the war, there was women’s basketball.

When H-E’s beloved parents set her on the Greyhound Bus to NYC, far as they were concerned, it was so H-E could maximize and simultaneously optimize her basketball “playing” potential. Big City, Bright Lights, Fast Ball.

There were opportunities to play basketball,in a quantity, quality, and magnitude and manifestation not to be found in Nebraska.

In NYC, you could play basketball 7/24/365. In Nebraska, maybe 7/2 or 3/120.

You could go pro in NYC. To this day, you can’t go pro in Nebraska.

If you went pro in NYC, it was with a team called the New York Knicks, but behind this apparent name, the New York Knickerbockers. Yeah.

Yet it is ridiculous the way on the banks of the Hudson River, the Dutch influence lives on, in basketball, no less. Well, male or female, you can make a living “playing” ball? Black or white? Jump? Peach basket. Peach basket– southern. Southern Munchkin.

“Knickerbocker” is a dutch name.

What about Harlem? Harlem is a dutch name. Not only technically is Harlem in Mannahattas, but in spirit. Would there be a Broadway, otherwise? I would love it if this could be spiritually efficacious.
